Rumors about a movie trailer for an underground classic being remade

I heard that Johnny Depp’s producer
credit was cut from the trailer. Part of the third
shot is faked to be the Hollywood Athletic Club,
which, of course, is now the University of Judiaism.
In frame 233 do you see the glimpse of a character
dying in the mirror? Is that Gary Sinese? I don’t
want to spoil it, but does he play the character
who dies in chapter 5 of the original Lion Feuchtwanger
novel version? I heard this isn’t actually based on anything,
like the novel, or the original film, it’s just the name,
and the characters, and their actions, but nothing
like the original, or the original movie, which was
based on the novel. I heard the director never read
the book. And Jess told me the writer never read
any book. The actors never saw the movie.
So we have that in common. That’s perfect, though.
